Welcome to St Michael’s

On behalf of the staff, parents, and children of St Michael’s Church of England Primary School,  it is a great privilege to warmly welcome you to our website.

At St Michael’s, we want every child to feel known, valued, loved and inspired to achieve their very best. We have high expectations for every child and are committed to providing rich opportunities for them to learn, grow and flourish, both academically and personally.

Our Christian vision, Journeying with Christ: “With God, all things are possible.” from Matthew's gospel speaks of the hope, faith and possibility in our community, reminding us each that we do not journey alone, but with God beside us as we discover our gifts and grow into the people that we are called to be. 

Our vision is lived out through three core values:

These values are at the heart of our school community. They shape how we learn, how we treat one another and how we respond to the opportunities and challenges that life brings.

They are not simply values for our children. They are for all of us — children, staff, families and our wider community — as we seek to grow together and live life in all its fullness.

We believe that education is about providing the best opportunities for all in our school both through academic achievement and the flourishing of the whole child. We want our children to develop a love of learning, a strong sense of who they are, and the courage, wisdom and compassion to make a positive difference in the world.
