Weekly Newsletter: Friday 28th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a great week we have had in school. The children have been busily immersed in their learning across all subjects, and the excitement is building as nativity rehearsals are now well underway. It’s been wonderful to hear songs drifting down the corridors and to see the children practising with such enthusiasm and joy.

This week in collective worship, we were joined by Reverend James who read the parable of the two sons. The children listened carefully - and even acted out the story - which tells of a loving father who welcomed back his sons despite their selfish decisions. We spoke about the importance of love and forgiveness, and how God’s compassion is always there for us. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

A huge congratulations to our Stars of the Week! Each week it is a pleasure to recognise the brilliant learning and creativity taking place throughout the school. Our Friday celebrations highlight the dedication and imagination of our pupils, bringing a positive and uplifting end to the week.

“Mottlesnatch and the Flicker of Hope” is, as always, a great success. The new chapter is attached, and you can also follow its journey on our school Facebook page.

The FOSM elves have been in school today working tirelessly to make sure that tomorrow’s Christmas Fair is truly one to remember. We hope to see many of you there, soaking up the festive spirit and enjoying a fun-filled Saturday with the St Michael’s community.
